"Study of A Commodity" is an interactive Virtual Reality experience by Caroline Running Wolf, who was selected as 2017 Oculus Launchpad Scholarship recipient. This project glimpsed into Pikuni (Blackfeet) culture and traditions that informed Louis Still Smoking’s painting Study of a Commodity.
For Scene 2, the environment was inspired by Rapid City's Art Alley. Some of the graffiti art found in this scene were taken from that area, while some others were taken in Seattle.
Before the viewer hop into the interactive portion of scene 2, they were presented with a gallery of Louis Still Smoking's paintings. You can see more of his work at https://www.stillsmokingart-designs.com.
This VR environment was originally created for GearVR platform.
